Out of all the superheroes and radioactive accidents, Spider-Man is arguably the most popular and iconic one of them all. With The Amazing Spider-Man on its way, let’s compare the old to the new to compare the similarities and differences of the villains in Spider-Man’s life.

Both films have similar stories revolving around Peter Parker’s transformation from an ordinary teen to The Amazing Spider-Man. They both interface with Oscorp as it provides the roles of the evil villains.

“In order to try and save Norman Osborne industries [Osborne] had to test the formula on himself and it completely transformed him into a mad man,” reads an article on comicbookmovie.com. “Another Oscorp scientist, Dr. Curt Connors tested a serum on himself, which regrew his arm but became a reptilian monster.”

They’re different in the sense of their motives and behavior, but similar because originally both played an important role in Parker’s life as mentors, but due to their love of science, they’ve completely changed themselves into rampaging monsters set to destroy Spider-Man and have complete world domination.
